Members of the EASL-CLIF Consortium met in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on the occasion of the Internation Liver Congress 2017.

Both meetings, the EASL-CLIF Consortium General Assembly and EASL-CLIF Consortium Steering Committee Meeting, reviewed the research activities carried out throughout the previous fiscal year with a focus on the continued growth of the EASL-CLIF Consortium network of terciary care and university hospitals.

The EASL-CLIF Consortium General Assembly provided the forum for discussion of future research. At the EASL-CLIF Consortium Steering Committee Meeting, Prof. Vicente Arroyo presented his resignation as Chair of the EASL-CLIF Consortium Steering Committee after sitting for eight years in this role. Prof. Paolo Angeli, who served as member of the EASL-CLIF Consortium Steering Committee since its establishment, was nominated candidate to fulfill this role and unanimously elected by members of the EASL-CLIF Consortium Steering Committee. Later, the EASL Governing Board approved this designation.
