Anna Bosch holds a PhD degree in molecular genetics by the University of Barcelona, Spain. She conducted her postdoctoral studies on diabetes translational research at University of Barcelona and the Tumor and Biology Center at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden. In 2007, she joined IDIBAPS as Coordinator of the Metabolic Disease Biobank. She contributed to the creation of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona-IDIBAPS Biobank and was appointed Manager of the Tumor Bank, Brain Bank, and DNA Bank. She was also the Coordinator of the IDIBAPS core facilities: genomics, bioinformatics and biostatistics, flow cytometry, MRI neuroimaging, and biosafety level 3 laboratory. In 2011, she co-founded InBioMotion.
She will oversee a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to generating groundbreaking results and providing cutting-edge solutions to the liver disease research community worldwide.
A key aspect of her approach involves raising awareness of the research activities carried out by the EASL-CLIF Consortium and the Grifols Chair for Translational Research. In addition, she aims to attract public funding and promote the implementation of high-throughput approaches to research and innovation projects sponsored by EF CLIF.
We are grateful to former General Manager of EF CLIF Josep Maria Torner, who over the last three years contributed greatly to the consolidation and expansion of EF CLIF’s scope. His experience in the pharmaceutical industry and his ability to interact with others and manage challenging situations has been instrumental for the successful execution of the PREDICT study and the design of the ACLARA study.
