The project will create a centralized, intuitive platform that automates score calculations using real-time patient data while integrating seamlessly into clinical workflows. By reducing the manual workload for healthcare providers, minimizing errors, and ensuring consistent documentation, this tool aims to improve patient care and streamline decision-making.
“This collaboration with Fundación Ibercaja marks the beginning of a long-lasting and fruitful partnership, and represents a significant step forward in EF CLIF’s mission to support innovation that directly impacts the care of patients with chronic liver disease”, said Anna Bosch. “This tool will simplify medical score calculations by automating processes using patient data, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care and research. By easing the daily workload of clinicians who manage both patients and research, this tool will enhance consistency and accuracy in clinical decision-making”, she added.
Over the next year, the EF CLIF team led by Principal Investigators Juan Manuel Díaz, Data Manager at EF CLIF, and Cristina Sánchez-Garrido, Head of the Data Management Center, will develop a user-friendly, bedside-accessible tool designed to automate the calculation of prognostic scores and provide evidence-based care recommendations in alignment with European clinical practice guidelines.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards integrated, evidence-based healthcare solutions for patients with chronic liver disease.
