Jonel Trebicka designated Principal Investigator of the PREDICT study

Dr. Jonel Trebicka is the Head of the Laboratory for Liver Fibrosis and Portal Hypertension at University Hospital Bonn, Germany, and Adjunct Professor in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Southern Denmark, Denmark. He is also member of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) and Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Hepatology, American Journal of Physiology, Liver Transplantation and Scientific Reports.

He combines his expertise in basic, translational and clinical research on liver fibrogenesis and portal hypertension at University of Bonn, Department of Internal Medicine with his work as a consultant at University Hospital Bonn. His broad consolidated experience as investigator and clinician makes him an excellent candidate to lead the PREDICT study, with more than 40 hospitals involved with the aim to recruit 1200 patients with cirrhosis.
