Annual EASL-CLIF Consortium General Assembly takes place in Vienna

On the occasion of the International Liver Conference (ILC) 2019, EF CLIF hosts the EASL-CLIF Consortium General Assembly to review research activities over the last fiscal year.

With more than 10,000 delegates from more than 120 countries, ILC 2019 counted with the active participation of many investigators from member centers of the EASL-CLIF Consortium raising the profile of chronic liver disease research in Europe.

Our staff had the opportunity to attend the conference and exchange knowledge and expertise with liver specialists and world leading experts in the field of hepatology.

Dr. Wenyi Gu, former EF CLIF Visiting Scholar, presented her lecture on prognosis of acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) and the Chinese diagnostic criteria of ACLF.

The awards ceremony this year was a truly emotional moment, particularly when our Director Prof. Vicente Arroyo handed the prestigious EASL Recognition Award to Prof. Flair Carrilho for his contributions to the advancement of science, knowledge, clinical care, and teaching.

The EASL-CLIF Consortium General Assembly was a celebration of main achievements over the last year. The EASL-CLIF Consortium Steering Committee met to review applications from 17 European centers of clinical and research excellence that were finally accepted.
